Am I still in a flood zone? That is a big question for many residents in Camden County, especially after the recent devastation from Hurricane Irma that impacted many families in our area.
Please join us for a Town Hall meeting this Thursday, November 30, 2017, to get an answer to this question and many more related to the new flood plain maps, flooding in our area, and insurance concerns.
To hear more about the new maps and how you can reduce your flood risks, consider attending this meeting. Representatives from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources will be in attendance and sit on a panel with local Camden County Flood Plain Manager Scott Brazell, Building Inspector Joey Yacobacci, State Farm Insurance representative Kevin Lang, and a local Builder. These individuals will address the major changes in the new Camden County FEMA Flood Maps and answer questions from the audience. The event will be located at:
College of Coastal Georgia- Camden Center Auditorium
8001 Lakes Blvd, Kingsland, Georgia 31548
6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
This event is sponsored by the Camden County Board of Commissioners, Camden County Chamber of Commerce, and Camden/Charlton County Board of Realtors. All are welcome to attend!
