1. How does the department determine where to spray?

We divide the county in sections and treat equally on a rotating schedule. There is no schedule used when applying Larvacide (growth regulator). We apply this at any time standing water is located.

2. Is there anything I can do to help with mosquito control?

Empty all containers (tires, drums, bottles, cans, kid pools, etc that may hold water. Repair leaky faucets and pipes outside. Fill in low places where puddles may be. Change water in bird bath once a week. Keep grass and shrubbery maintained, this will eliminate hiding places for adult mosquitoes around the house. Keep pond banks clear of excess vegetation. Keep ponds stocked with fish.
