1. How do I complete a soil test?

Follow these steps:

1) Divide the targeted area into sections and take a sample from each section

2) Sample depth should be 4 inches for lawns and 6 inches for gardens, ornamentals, fruit trees and wildlife plots

3) Tools used should be clean of any soil, fertilizer or lime before additional submissions are attempted and

4) Clear the ground surface of thatch and mulch before sampling

2. How long does it take to get a soil test back?

Soil tests take anywhere from three to five days to return from Athens.
