[ARCHIVED] Camden County Emergency Management Releases 2021 Hurricane Guide

Camden County’s Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has released its 2021 Hurricane Guide. The online guide, available on Camden County’s website at camdencountyga.gov/HurricaneGuide, has information to help local residents prepare for hurricane season.

“Even though we received little impact from the record-breaking 2020 season, as a coastal community it is vital for Camden County residents to take a proactive approach to hurricane planning and preparedness measures,” said Emergency Management Director Chuck White. “The 2021 Hurricane Season is anticipated to have above-normal activity and this guide has valuable information to help citizens learn more about what they can do to better prepare for this year’s hurricane season."

Included in the guide is information about the 2021 Hurricane Forecast, preparing for hurricanes, CodeRED, and information about the new online citizen damage reporter. Additionally, there is information about hurricane hazards and the Camden County Health Department’s Functional, Access, or Medical Needs Hurricane Registry.
