Celebrate American Archives Month at Bryan-Lang Archives

Join Bryan-Lang Archives in October to celebrate American Archives Month. The Bryan-Lang Archives was established in 1987 as a depository for books, documents, maps, photographs, and other records of historical and genealogical value pertaining to Camden County. The material is non-circulating, but is available for research in the archive. The Bryan-Lang Archives is a research-only facility, providing basic and advanced searches for information pertaining to Camden County.

Bryan Lang Archives“It’s a great time to visit the Bryan-Lang Archives,” said County Administrator Shawn Boatright. “They have a new Archivist, Mylynda Gill, who is working hard to showcase one of Camden County’s hidden gems.”

Mylynda Gill began serving as Archivist this Summer. A New England native, she holds a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from Simmons University.

The collection consists of manuscripts, journals, documents, photographs, and other historical materials from Camden County, Coastal Georgia, Southeast Georgia, and the State of Georgia. The archive also holds research materials from other states, including Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The Bryan-Lang Archives are open weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
