Additionally, County Administrator Steve Howard presented two books to be added to the library.
Named in honor of their grandmother, Lauren collected nearly 500 books to stock the three-foot by three-foot structure built by Braden as part of his Boy Scout woodworking badge. Each book has been cleaned and stamped prior to their original placement in the library.
“We are excited about young people taking action in our community,” said County Administrator Steve Howard. “This free library is a wonderful opportunity for White Oak residents to share books and the joy of reading.”
The Elaine Bonney Little Free Library is located at Charlie Easterling Memorial Park, on US Highway 17 in White Oak. Find more information on their Facebook page, White Oak GA Little Free Library.
